The 2012 Halloween event works like some other events in the past. In order to complete the event, five buildings must be built. Four of these need to be on your island in full glory before you can start construction on the final one. The event started October 28, 2012, and lasts for 120 hours.

1: Guillotine.

3: Haunted house.
Collect 6 + 66 + 66

4: Maya pyramide.

Once these four buildings have been fully built and you have collected enough resources you can build the final building for this event.
5: Devil's rollercoaster.
Collect 66 + 66 + 66 + 66 to build the Devil's rollercoaster and to complete the event.
Zapping information[]
The costs to zap a zombie, ghost or vampire is 1 energy. Considering you need 936 resources to build all 5 Halloween buildings and that 1 zap regenerates in 3 minutes, the event will take almost 47 hours to complete in the ultimate best case scenario. But when taking into account the drop rates (see below) for all resources and the relative appearances of the zombies, ghosts and vampires, this figure will change dramatically.
Average zaps for all needed resources to get all Halloween 2012 Awards:
- Bones: 198 for the buildings, 100 for the gifts, with a drop rate of 50% from zombies only, comes to 596 zaps.
- Candles: 210 for the buildings, 528 for eight decorations, with a drop rate of 50% from the ghosts only, comes to 1,476 zaps.
- Sorcerer's caps: 198 for the buildings, 2 more to get the award, with a drop rate of 20% from the vampires only, comes to 1,000 zaps.
- Bats: 330 for the buildings, 462 for seven decorations, with a drop rate of 20% from the ghosts (which you already zapped 1,476 times accounting for 295 bats) and 50% from the vampires (which you already zapped 1,000 times accounting for 500 bats), comes to 0 zaps and an overage of 3 bats.
The total zaps needed will on average be 3,072 if you zap the right monster. This will take you 9,216 minutes = 153 hours and 36 minutes. Without time cheating and without accounting for sleep, the event has to last for 6,4 days. But the event only lasts for 5 days, so you will not be able to finish the event without buying some resources or resorting to time cheating.
