The Easter event is different from the previous two holiday events. There are no phases anymore, but just like the Christmas 2011 event you can build four buildings at any time during the event and will unlock the final building only after having fully constructed all these four buildings. The resource Eggs are awarded when you tap an Easter Basket thought bubble. All four Egg resources can be collected throughout the entire event, but of course the most highly valued Eggs will be the most difficult to obtain.
NOTE: The event may have a major bug which causes some islands to not have any pedestrians with Easter thought bubbles over their heads. After you have rebuilt the road from the Dock to the Administrative building and checked to be sure that the detail level in the 'Star' menu is set to High, contact GI Customer 'Support' with any complaints. Building order[]
To complete the Easter event you need to collect enough Egg resources to build all Easter buildings. Once the Easter Palace is constructed the award will register. You can build all four other buildings at any moment during the holiday event. The buildings remained the same as the 2012 buildings, with the exception of costs and the featured building. However, the app recognizes the difference between last year's buildings and this year's, so you have to build them again even if you have the old ones. The painted eggs and silver eggs are the only part useful from last year's event.

The following 2 awards are not necessary for the "Festival Organizer" and "Easter Keeper" awards:
- You need 50 additional Emerald eggs to get the "Easter Miracle" award. (5 Jeweled Eggs)
- You need a minimum of 100 additional Painted eggs or 600 Silver Eggs (or some combination of the two) to get the "Easter Generosity" award. (20 gifts)
You also get one or two tourists with egg thought bubbles when you visit your friend's islands to clean. These tourist's eggs do not cost energy zaps to collect. The user reported rate is 12 tourists every 12 hours. The count apparently resets on a 12-hour clock versus the usual 24-hour clock for cleanings. This is consistent with previous events.
